Buentello and "The Goat" Join Beatdown

Thursday's "Beatdown" finds TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross looking ahead to the pending BodogFight and Strikeforce cards. Joining them are Nick Thompson (Pictures) and "The Head Hunter" Paul Buentello (Pictures).

Buentello is getting ready for an opponent he knows nothing about. Coming off of a win over UFC legend "Tank" Abbott, Buentello was preparing to take on PRIDE veteran Alistair Overeem (Pictures). Overeem has since pulled out, forcing Buentello to sit and wonder who or if he will fight on December 8 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Buentello talks about what he is going through preparing for a fight he doesn't know he'll participate in, reflects on his career and "living the dream."

Thompson is a college student who found success in his hobby of mixed martial arts. Competing in the UFC twice and capturing wins over UFC veterans Keith Wisnewksi and Josh Neer (Pictures), Thompson has now found himself competing on the upstart promotion BodogFight.

Thompson talks about his opponent, Ansar Chalongov, whom "The Goat" will face this Saturday in Vancouver, British Columbia. Nick talks about the BodogFight, his opponent, juggling training with law school, and how he garnered his odd nickname.

TJ and Josh breakdown the fights on the Bodog card and the ICON title fight between Frank Trigg (Pictures) and Jason Miller.
