Biaggio Ali Walsh Wants to Establish Himself as a Mixed Martial Artist First

Despite his famous name, Biaggio Ali Walsh is focused on improving as a mixed martial artist and doesn’t think about the squared circle for now.

The grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, Walsh is taking his MMA career very seriously and isn’t currently considering other combat sports. He has already scored two amateur victories under the Professional Fighters League banner, the latest of which dates to April. On that occasion, the Xtreme Couture MMA representative stopped his opponent with punches 104 seconds out of the gate. Now, Ali Walsh is attached to a clash with Travell Miller at the upcoming 2023 PFL 5 event. T better prepare for his next assignment, Biaggio focuses heavily on wrestling and grappling. When asked about the possibility of boxing in the future, the up-and-coming fighter emphasized his commitment to MMA. Even a superfight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul doesn’t seem very attractive to him, mainly because of the weight difference between him and Paul.

“I would say later if anything. Right now, I'm trying to establish myself as a mixed martial artist. Right now is my MMA run. Maybe I will do an exhibition in boxing when I'm done or something, who knows? Opportunities come and go as time goes as well, so anything can happen. Right now, I’m a mixed martial artist. Me and Jake Paul are in completely different weight classes. I think I heard something about him after my last fight if he called [out] me or my brother. I don't know what the deal was, but we're in completely different weight classes. If we ever fought, I would have to go up to 185, and I heard it was hard for him to cut down to 185 because he's a bigger guy. He walks around at 200 plus pounds or something like that, and I walk around 176, so I would have to go up in weight if we ever fought.”
