HARTLEY SET FOR HIS FIRST TITLE DEFENSE ON AUGUST 2

(PRESS RELEASE) -- With all of the hype surrounding the V3Fights’
main event on August 2 in Nashville, TN, remember that there will
also be a title on the line when champion, Justin
Hartley, fights in his hometown to take on Irvin
Jones.
Hartley is currently 6-1 and fights out of Nashville MMA. He won the welterweight title back in March with a split decision victory over Aaron Osborn.
But Hartley didn’t go out and pursue MMA to become a fighter, but
to stay in shape and find something to do to occupy his time so he
wouldn’t be out in the streets getting in trouble since he had a
kid and needed to straighten up. Now he is the top welterweight
fighter in the division and has a target on his back with everyone
gunning for the champ, and he is okay with that.
“It feels really good to be the champ. I’ve worked really hard in the gym to get where I am and I don’t plan on letting somebody take that from me. And it feels great putting my belt on the line in front of my hometown” states Hartley.
“I’m good everywhere, so I can take the fight wherever it needs to go, but I’d rather stand and bang. Irvin is a big, strong guy, but not technical enough to hang with me and I feel that the fight will end by me knocking him out or submitting him” states Hartley.
Hartley also wanted to leave this last message for his opponent…. “Bring a pillow and blanket because you are going night night.”
