PFL 8 Weigh-in Results: Olena Kolesnyk Misses Weight for Semifinal

The weigh-ins ahead of Professional Fighters League's heavyweight and women's featherweight semifinals were far from drama-free.

The PFL 8 main event will see Renan Ferreira battle Maurice Greene at heavyweight. The lone semifinalist to miss weight was Olena Kolesnyk (147.8), who checked in 1.8 pounds over the featherweight limit. She will be fined 20% of her purse and docked a point for her trilogy match against Larissa Pacheco (146). As for the rest of the card, preliminary heavyweight Daiqwon Buckley (272.4) came in 6.4 pounds over the 266-pound cap, changing his matchup with Louie Sutherland (250.6) to a super heavyweight fight and earning Buckley at 20% fine. Additionally, a 155-pound pairing between Chris Mixan and Eddy George fell through when Mixan reportedly failed to attend the weigh-ins.

Ferreira (10-3, 3 NC) is coming off a knockout win over Matheus Scheffel that came just 50 seconds into the fight. The towering 6-foot-8 Brazilian will be the lighter fighter, as he stepped on the scale weighing 259.6 pounds. Meanwhile, Greene is looking to bounce back from a decision defeat to Ante Delija. Just 1-2 inside the PFL, "The Crochet Boss" weighed 261.8 pounds.

PFL 8 will begin airing on Friday at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on ESPN+. The main card will air on ESPN and ESPN+ as well, starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
