No Lack of Confidence for PFL Prospect Alexei Pergande: ‘I Make People Bleed’

Alexei Pergande has spent his entire career in the Professional Fighters League, and he has taken a patient approach thus far. However, he believes his latest performance sends a message to anyone who may cross his path in the future.

Currently 7-0 as a pro, Pergande picked up another win on the PFL 2025 World Tournament 10 undercard, where he submitted Ethan Goss with a brabo choke in the first round of their featured prelim on Aug. 21 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The 24-year-old Kill Cliff Fight Club prospect had previously faced opponents with similar experience—until Goss, who had three times as many bouts under his belt entering their encounter.

Pergande believes he has proven himself worthy of a promotion.

“I make people bleed,” he told Sherdog.com. “Two opponents in a row are going home with stitches. Like I said, to be honest, I don’t care what part of the card I’m on, but I want to go out there, keep performing and keep winning fights. That’s it.”

With the organization having invested in him from the start, Pergande indicated he was grateful for the players the PFL has put around him and how it has approached his career.

“I’m very proud of the team and the people that are in the PFL, just the community itself,” he said. “From Ray Sefo to Greg Savage and all these guys, they’re just amazing human beings and I love being around them. It just feels like I’m at home with the PFL. It’s such a blessing to be in such a big promotion at such a young age and seven fights in. At 24 years old, I have a lot of fights left in me, and I’m excited for what the future holds.”

With the promotion’s support behind him and nothing but positive results to show for his efforts, Pergande hopes to reveal more about his story—inside and outside the cage.

“I feel like there’s a lot about me that people still don’t know, and eventually, people will find out,” he said. “They’re already finding out more and more about me. I’ve been using social media to tell people more about me. I post on my TikTok a lot to tell my story, my upbringing and where I’m from. I can’t wait for people to learn about me. I don’t think people even know I’m Russian. I’m really excited to have more growth. That’s why I do social media to tell my story and inspire the youth.”

It seems like the more the PFL pulls back the curtain on Pergande, the brighter his star shines. He embraces the great expectations that have begun to build.

“I’m going to be the best in the world, and that’s going to be my story. I know it,” he said. “Just follow along [and] hop on while it’s early because the train is leaving. It’s going. It’s time to hop on board and ride with me throughout the whole thing. I will be a world champion, and we can come back to this interview when I win the finals. I will be the best in the world.”
