BetUS.com lists Fiziev as a -230 favorite in the UFC on ESPN 39 headliner, with dos Anjos as a +180 underdog. In the co-main event, Borralho is favored at -240, with Petrosyan coming back at +190.

Fiziev enters the Octagon on the strength of a five-fight winning streak, the Sanford MMA rep having begun to make inroads towards joining the divisional elite at 155 pounds. “Ataman” last appeared at UFC on ESPN 31, where he knocked out Brad Riddell with a spinning wheel kick in the third round of their Dec. 4 encounter. The 29-year-old Fiziev holds a 5-1 record in the UFC.

Dos Anjos, meanwhile, climbs into the cage on the heels of back-to-back victories. He last competed on March 5, when he took a five-round unanimous decision from Renato Carneiro at UFC 272. Dos Anjos, 37, owns a 20-11 mark in the UFC and ranks sixth on the promotion’s all-time list in wins. He held the undisputed lightweight crown from March 14, 2015 to July 7, 2016.

UFC on ESPN 39 “Dos Anjos vs. Fiziev” also features a bantamweight scrap slotting Said Nurmagomedov (-350) opposite Douglas Silva de Andrade (+250), a heavyweight affair pairing Jared Vanderaa (-210) with Chase Sherman (+165), a women’s flyweight clash pitting Cynthia Calvillo (-150) against Nina Nunes (+120) and a lightweight tilt matching Jamie Mullarkey (-260) with Michael Johnson (+200). Bantamweights anchor the six-fight undercard, where Ricky Turcios (-190) awaits Aiemann Zahabi (+155) in the featured prelim at 135 pounds.
