Planting its flag in the Sooner State for the first time, Invicta Fighting Championships on Friday brought a card to the FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to jumpstart its featherweight division. Invicta 32 featured one of the latest stoppages in company history, two victorious fighters who have been active since the first Invicta event and a rebuke to the old adage that “leg kicks certainly don’t finish fights.”

TRIPLE TROUBLE: Invicta FC 32 was the sixth event in company history -- 18.75% of all events -- to feature at least three bouts outside of standard weight classes. Mizuki Inoue, Sarah Patterson and Chelsea Chandler all missed weight for their bouts.

NO FEE UNLESS WE WIN: Improving her undefeated record to 6-0, all six of Felicia Spencer’s career bouts have taken place within Invicta FC. She takes her place as one of only two fighters in organizational history to remain undefeated after more than five fights with Invicta, joining Tonya Evinger (7-0, 1 NC).

FEE SIMPLE: With her win, Spencer became the second winningest fighter in promotional history with 6, trailing only Evinger with 7.

FEE-NOMINAL: Submitting Pam Sorenson at 4:23 of round 4, Spencer secured the third latest stoppage in Invicta FC history. Only six Invicta FC fights have ever ended in the fourth round, and only one has been stopped in the fifth.

FEE-TALITY: Spencer’s third submission in Invicta tied her with four other fighters for the most in company history. With her rear-naked choke submission of Sorenson, half of her career wins have come by rear-naked choke.

EARLY TERMINATION FEE: All six of the Invicta FC featherweight title fights to ever occur for the promotion have ended by finish, as Spencer became the third Invicta featherweight champion with her stoppage win of Sorenson.

ACTIVE ASHLEY: Fighting for Invicta FC for the eighth time, Ashley Cummins now holds the second-most appearances along with DeAnna Bennett, Sarah D’Alelio and Evinger. They all trail Vanessa Porto who has 9.

IT’S BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME: After six bouts inside the Invicta cage dating back to Invicta FC 1 in April 2012, Kaitlin Young finally recorded a win inside the promotion. She was the only winless fighter with a least five appearances in Invicta to date, and broke that streak with a first round knockout over Patterson.

MATCH MADE IN SOMEWHERE: While sporting a .500 record of 9-9-1, former Invicta FC matchmaker Young’s losses are equally distributed with three knockout, submission and decision defeats. When she wins, she has finished her opponent in seven of those nine wins with strikes within two rounds.

LUMBERJACK MODE ACTIVATED: Chopping down her opponent with a leg kick and follow-up punches, Young became the first fighter inside the promotion to ever stop an opponent with leg kicks.

PUT YOUR WEIGHT ON IT: A fight was scheduled above featherweight for the third time in Invicta FC history, as Young met Patterson at a 154.5-pound catchweight. Previously, two women’s lightweight bouts have taken place inside the promotion, with the first between Charmaine Tweet and Veronica Rothenhausler in 2014, and the second featuring a debuting Spencer against Rachel Wiley in 2015. All three of those bouts have ended by first round knockout.

THIS … IS … INVICTA!: For the first time inside the Invicta cage, a fighter stopped an opponent with a front kick. Julia Avila stopped Alexa Conners in the second round with a front kick and punches to secure the victory and her first post-fight bonus with the organization.

BABIES! THEY’RE … BABIES!: Totaling only 38 years of age, 19-year-olds Erin Blanchfield and Kay Hansen combined for the youngest fight in Invicta FC history, beating the previous record by 3 years held by four different fights.

THAT MAN IS PLAYING GALAGA: When the result between Blanchfield and Hansen was announced as a majority decision win for Blanchfield, it was the first time an Invicta FC bout had been decided with one judge scoring a draw and the other two giving the win to Blanchfield.

NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN: Coming into Invicta FC 32, Invicta FC had never travelled to Oklahoma, Pam Sorenson had never been finished (9 fights) and Jessica Correa Delboni had never been defeated (7 fights).
