By The Numbers: Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Carlston Harris

Santiago Ponzinibbio finds himself in a tug of war with Father Time as he tries to plot a late-career course as a mixed martial artist in his late 30s.

The American Top Team mainstay will attempt to get back on track in the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight division when he locks horns with Carlston Harris in the UFC Fight Night 249 co-main event on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Ponzinibbio steps back into the spotlight having lost four of his past five bouts. He last competed at UFC on ESPN 59, where he wound up on the short side of a split decision against Muslim Salikhov on July 13. Harris, meanwhile, has compiled a 4-2 mark since he joined the UFC roster in 2021. The former Brave Combat Federation champion last saw action on May 18, when Kalinn Williams felled him with punches just 90 seconds into their UFC Fight Night 241 pairing.
