Beatdown: MMA Potpourri with Monte Cox

TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross are back for Monday's edition of "Beatdown" on the Sherdog Radio Network. Joining them is mixed martial arts manager and promoter extraordinaire Monte Cox.

Cox has one of the largest stable of fighters in the sport, almost all of who are in the "big" shows — and if they're not, they are just a few wins away.

Monte discusses a variety of topics including Matt Hughes (Pictures)' rematch this weekend against B.J. Penn (Pictures), Jens Pulver (Pictures)'s return to the UFC, lightweight up-and-comer Roger Huerta (Pictures), Sean Sherk (Pictures)'s UFC title fight and Rich Franklin (Pictures)'s return from injury against Anderson Silva.

Cox also touches on Jeremy Horn (Pictures)'s loss in the IFL. Monte sheds some light on Horn and his motivation as a fighter. Cox even talks about the possibility of Jeremy walking away from active competition.
