Beatdown: Baroni on Future; Fighter Purses Discussed

Thursday brings another episode of "Beatdown" on The Sherdog Radio Network. As usual TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross are back to discuss the latest ongoings in mixed martial arts.

Joing them are Sherdog.com contributor Greg Savage and "The New York Badass" Phil Baroni (Pictures), whose interview on Monday was cut short.

Baroni picks up where he left off, talking about his win over Yosuke Nishijima (Pictures) in PRIDE last Saturday. Phil also speaks about his plans for the future, partying in Vegas, a possible fight with Frank Shamrock (Pictures), and his thoughts on Mark Coleman (Pictures)'s performance against PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko (Pictures).

Savage helps fill in the gaps regarding fighter salaries and bonuses. Depending on the state, promoters are required to disclose fighter purses. They are not, however, required to disclose post-fight bonuses. Savage talks about what he has learned from multiple sources regarding these non-disclosed bonuses and how they may affect the sport.
