Casey Kenney will get a chance to become a two-division champion of the interim variety when he faces Vince Cachero in the new Legacy Fighting Alliance 62 headliner.

Cachero was supposed to face reigning LFA bantamweight king Miles Johns in the original LFA 62 main event, but Johns withdrew from the event due to a hand injury. As a result, Kenney, will face Cachero for the interim 135-pound belt. Kenney is already the promotion’s interim flyweight titlist.

LFA 22 takes place on March 22 at the Bomb Factory in Dallas and airs on AXS-TV at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. In the co-main event, Levi Mowles will face Ahmet Kayretlie at 135 pounds.

Kenney claimed the interim flyweight strap with a five-round verdict over Brandon Royval at LFA 53 this past November. A two-time competitor on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, Kenney enters the matchup with Cachero on a three-fight winning streak under the LFA banner.

Cachero is unbeaten in six professional outings. Most recently, “The Anomaly” outpointed Joe Murphy at LFA 54. Four of Cachero’s victories have come in LFA.
