Dustin Lampros carries quite a burden into his first assignment on Season 29 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series.

The undefeated Sanford MMA bantamweight prospect will attempt to get his team off the schneid when he meets Vince Murdock on Episode 4, which streams to ESPN+ at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Tuesday. Brian Ortega owns a 3-0 lead over reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski, as the two men coach opposite one another in advance of their forthcoming showdown for the undisputed 145-pound crown.

Lampros, 27, has spent his entire career in the Shamrock Fighting Championships promotion, where he has compiled a perfect 5-0 record with five finishes. He was Volkanovski’s No. 3 pick behind Mitch Raposo and Ryder Newman, both of whom have been eliminated. The 30-year-old Murdock, meanwhile, sports an 11-6 mark as a professional and operates out of Team Alpha Male. He was Ortega’s No. 7 pick behind Daniel Argueta, Andre Petroski, Liudvik Sholinian, Tresean Gore, Josh Rettinghouse and Miles Hunsinger. Petroski, Gore and Sholinian have already advanced to their respective quarterfinals.

Season 29 of “The Ultimate Fighter” features hopefuls from the bantamweight and middleweight divisions.
