Barboza and Lee find themselves in similar positions at 155 pounds, so it should come as little surprise that their paths would cross in a UFC Fight Night main event; and fans will almost certainly be entertained. One of the lightweight division’s most dynamic strikers, Barboza has recorded three wins across his past four outings but had no answer for Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 219. There, Nurmagomedov grounded, pounded and ultimately humiliated the Brazilian in a lopsided unanimous decision. Barboza, 32, owns victories over Evan Dunham, Bobby Green, former UFC champion Anthony Pettis and two-time Strikeforce titleholder Gilbert Melendez. Operating out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Lee has pieced together a 9-3 record since joining the UFC roster a little more than four years ago. Al Iaquinta, Leonardo Santos and Tony Ferguson are the only men who have defeated him.
