Welterweights
Mike Stumpf (11-2, 0-0 UFC) vs. T.J. Waldburger (13-6, 1-1 UFC)

The Matchup: A loss likely could put Waldburger’s spot on the UFC roster in jeopardy, as he looks to rebound from his 95-second defeat to Johny Hendricks in March. Stumpf, a Jeff Curran protégé, steps in on Extreme Short Noticeâ„¢ -- cue the “Wayne’s World” voices, while turning your volume to 11.

A submission-based fighter who has cut his teeth inside the Xtreme Fighting Organization promotion, Stumpf finds himself with a tall order in front of him. Waldburger has never been submitted and will have the benefit of a full training camp. Stumpf accepted the fight on just six days’ notice.

The Pick: Short notice can work two ways; Stumpf could be in good shape and go for broke, exploiting Waldburger having to adjust to a new opponent, or the bright lights and big stage can run him out of gas quickly. Waldburger should have enough ground savvy and control to wear down Stumpf and win by late stoppage or decision.
