6. Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson

Henderson, a two-time Olympic wrestler, was thought to be Superman’s kryptonite. Pundits could not have been more off-base with their assessment. After a successful first round in which Henderson took down and grinded Silva with annoying but ultimately ineffective ground-and-pound, the Brazilian champion offered up his retort. In the second, Silva assumed top position when the former two-division Pride Fighting Championships titleholder slipped and did so again on a failed takedown attempt. He settled in half guard, advanced to the back, secured his position with a body triangle and sought to force Henderson to expose his neck while defending punches from the rear. Soon after, Silva slid his arms in place for the rear-naked choke, a look of sheer panic and disbelief washing over Henderson’s face before he reluctantly tapped out in front of 16,431 fans at Nationwide Arena.
