With this matchup as part of a lineup that also featured Dale Hartt-Corey Hill, it seems safe to say this event brought the pain.

Cantwell won the fight with an armbar that dislocated Al-Hassan’s elbow. While being interviewed afterward, the former World Extreme Cagefighting champion indicated he had “always wanted to do that” and seemed quite pleased when he watched the replay and saw the joint give way.

After the bout, Cantwell went on to suffer five consecutive defeats, last competing inside the Octagon in 2012. The “Razor” returned from the injury a year later, fighting under the UFC banner one more time before being released and resuming his career on the regional circuit.
