Welterweights
T.J. Grant (16-5, 3-3 UFC) vs. Charlie Brenneman (13-2, 2-1 UFC)

The Matchup: This one pits Grant’s submission skills against the strong wrestling of “The Spaniard,” a Pennsylvania native. Twelve of Grant’s 16 wins are by submission, but he has had middling success since debuting in the UFC with an upset decision win over Pride Fighting Championships veteran Ryo Chonan in April 2009. He has lost three of his five bouts since.

Brenneman’s wrestling and high pace could be undone by Grant’s excellent submissions, but if he cannot catch one early, he likely will not have much luck.

The Pick: Brenneman by decision.
