William Gomis (10-2, 0-0 UFC) vs. Jarno Errens (13-3-1, 0-0 UFC)

ODDS: Gomis (-220), Errens (+195)

This late addition to the card should be an engaging scrap between two rising prospects. France’s Gomis is the hometown favorite, and he looks to have the higher upside of these two newcomers thanks to his speed and reach. “Jaguar” puts those tools to good use, even if he can be messy at times. Gomis is content to flit around at range and snipe at his opponents, occasionally crashing into them with a decent wrestling game. There is a lot for Gomis to clean up, but at 25 years old and with some good ideas, he should be able to find a foothold in the UFC as he develops some more consistency. For his first challenge in the UFC, Gomis draws Holland’s Errens. A kickboxer with some knockout power, Errens has looked solid when given the opportunity to work, though takedown defense does appear to be a concern as the Dutchman works his way up the UFC ladder. Gomis could make some progress there, but at worst, he figures to be too fast for Errens to catch cleanly and consistently with his movement-heavy striking. The pick is Gomis via third-round stoppage.
