NR | Khama Worthy (16-7, 2-1 UFC) vs. NR | Jamie Mullarkey (12-4, 0-2 UFC)

ODDS: Worthy (-130), Mullarkey (+110)

Worthy’s UFC run has been a fun ride thus far. Not much was expected of Worthy upon his late-notice UFC debut in 2019, so when he shocked Devonte Smith for a first-round knockout, it was one of the biggest betting upsets in promotional history. It was also surprisingly against type for “The Deathstar,” who has mostly made his hay as a patient and slow-paced fighter who does not find his reads or finishes until the later rounds. Worthy followed the Smith stoppage with a third-round submission of Luis Pena in another upset, but the good times came to an end quickly in September, when Ottman Azaitar ran through him in under two minutes. Worthy looks to get back to his winning ways against Australia’s Mullarkey, who remains in search of his first UFC win. Mullarkey’s UFC debut was a memorable scrap against Brad Riddell in 2019, and he put together a similarly gutsy performance against Fares Ziam on Oct. 17 in a fight that most felt he should have won on the scorecards. Mullarkey’s commitment to activity could get him the win, but as a middling athlete who is willing to trade more offense for a lack of defense, he seems like exactly the type of fighter that Worthy can crack at some point. The pick is Worthy via second-round stoppage.
