Graceful, elegant and undeniably violent, Coenen’s well-rounded skills have served her well in an MMA career that covers nearly 16 years. The Dutchwoman has won bouts in Shooto, Invicta Fighting Championships, Smackgirl, Bellator MMA and Dream but reached the height of her powers in Strikeforce, where she claimed the women’s bantamweight championship in 2010.

A pioneer in every sense of the word, “Rumina” has competed all over the globe. Of her seven career losses, two have come to the incomparable Cristiane Justino and another to Miesha Tate. Wins over Becky Levi, Roxanne Modafferi, Sarah Kaufman and Liz Carmouche highlight the Coenen resume, which includes 17 submissions: 10 by armbar, six by rear-naked choke and one by triangle choke.
