Brown had not done much bullying ahead of her clash with Simpson at the Scottish Rite Temple, but fortunes quickly changed. “The Bully” snapped a three-fight losing streak, as she submitted Simpson with an armbar just 50 seconds into the first round of their atomweight affair. Simpson swept into top position after being taken down, only to wander into a triangle choke. Brown transitioned from the triangle to an armbar on the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, went belly down on the maneuver and prompted the tapout for her first win in nearly two years.
