Middleweights

NR | Antonio Arroyo (9-2) vs. NR | Andre Muniz (18-4)

ODDS: Arroyo (-110), Muniz (-110)

It seems an odd choice for the main card, but this fight is at least a bit amusing, given that Arroyo and Muniz each took about the same path to get here.

Each fighter racked up a regional career full of quick finishes, both in wins and losses, in route to the Brazilian version of Dana White’s Contender Series, only to author unimpressive victories that did not earn them contracts; so they made their way to the 2019 season of the original DWCS, only to finally score finishes and get under the UFC’s employ. Despite their similar career paths, Arroyo and Muniz are very different fighters. Arroyo is a massive kickboxer, while Muniz mostly gets by as an aggressive wrestler and submission artist.

This could easily go either way, but Arroyo appears to use his size as his defense, and given that Muniz is also a large middleweight, he should be able to get in some takedowns and take over the fight. The pick is Muniz via first-round submission.
