Doggy Bag: Affliction for All

The Last Word

Please explain what Brock Lesnar did that was so wrong. In fact, I feel it was more honest then if he would have shook Frank Mir's hand or hugged him after he just beat the living crap out of man who was mocking everything Lesnar stands for the last 17 months and continues to do so even after the fact. Is Mir saying you need to lie to all the fans before the fight about how much you hate and despise your opponent just so they will buy the pay-per-view? Is that a great champ?

TJ De Santis, radio host: I agree with you for the most part. But honestly, do you think that is how Lesnar really feels? I don’t. I think maybe his hatred for Mir is legitimate, and getting in his face was fueled by raw emotion.

The UFC heavyweight champion can carry himself however he wants. He has earned that. But drawing negative attention to yourself when you’re a 265-pound former professional wrestler is not hard. I think Mr. Lesnar learned that there is a line he shouldn’t cross after a fight.

Henderson is no villain.

I think Hendo was of course fueled by the disrespect of Bisping. Being a man, when men are tested they either shine or not. In this case Hendo shined proving his point with his ability. The act of Brock aggressively looking for Frank to get the last word in their dispute is not something I want to pay for as a fan, or witness from a fighter. We don't need the WWE attitude when you win, shake hands, leave it at that. I mean the world saw what happened.

Greg Savage, reporter and radio host: While I understand the frustration with Brock Lesnar’s antics after his UFC 100 bout with Frank Mir, I do find it amusing that people are shocked that a man who cut his teeth in the circus that is professional wrestling can’t turn off the switch after a big match.

As for Dan Henderson, he made a glib comment in his post-fight interview that exacerbated --in many people’s eyes -- the problem they had with him striking a clearly unconscious Michael Bisping. A lot of that nonsense was put to bed when Bisping noted that Henderson did what he would have done had he been in the same situation.

And that’s that.
