Cerrone made his pitch for another post-fight bonus before a crowd of 14,856 in Sin City, as the Jackson-Wink MMA star submitted Dunham with a triangle choke in the second round of their encounter at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Dunham bowed out 3:49 into Round 2, the longtime Xtreme Couture rep having been submitted for the first time in 19 professional appearances. Cerrone set the table with his standup, as he tore into the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with knees throughout the first round. He put Dunham on rubbery legs with one of those knees and swarmed him with punches for the potential finish. The Oregonian survived to see the middle stanza. Once there, Cerrone switched gears with a takedown and caught the triangle during a subsequent scramble, moving to a mounted position for the tapout. Afterward, he was awarded $50,000 for “Submission of the Night.”
