Light heavyweight was for much of its existence the glamour division in mixed martial arts. It has been home to savages, trendsetters and technicians, pioneers and can’t-miss prospects, ageless warriors and transcendent talents.

Jon Jones, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz are among those who have flown the flag at 205 pounds for the Ultimate Fighting Championship; Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio Rua lorded over Pride Fighting Championships; Phil Davis and Liam McGeary have manned the post in Bellator MMA; and Dan Henderson, Gegard Mousasi and Muhammad Lawal ruled Strikeforce.
