On Nov. 25, 2017, Cage Warriors Fighting Championship was in Antwerp, Belgium, for CWFC 89.

In the main event, Dominique Steele edged out a decision win over Karl Amoussou. It was Steele’s first fight in the promotion after getting released from the Ultimate Fighting Championship. For Amoussou, it was the second-to-last fight of his career, as he would go on to fight in Brave CF in 2018 where he lost once again.

The co-main event saw Cindy Dandois beat Kerry Hughes by TKO in the first round. It was Dandois’ first fight since her brief one-scrap stint in the UFC. The win also put her back into the win column. Hughes, meanwhile, would lose her next two fights and is currently on a four-fight losing skid.

CWFC 89 also featured Mauro Cerilli TKO’ing Nills van Noord to become the heavyweight champion. He would defend the belt once before going to One Championship. Jack Shore picked up a very impressive first-round submission win over Ayton De Paepe and Donovan Desmae edged out a decision over Aiden Lee.
