On Nov. 1, 2014, Cage Warriors Fighting Championship was in Newcastle, England, for CW 73.

In the main event, Steven Ray submitted Curt Warburton in the second round. It was Ray’s first and only defense of his lightweight belt, as he was signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship and has been plying his trade there ever since.

The co-main event saw Jim Wallhead knock out Juan Manuel Suarez in the first round. Elsewhere on the card, Alex Enlund beat Nad Narimani by decision to win the vacant featherweight title.

Cage Warriors 73 also saw fan favorite Paddy Pimblett TKO Stephen Martin.
