The Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will be the site for Saturday night’s Showtime boxing card as Julian Williams will face off against Marcello Matano in a 12-round IBF junior middleweight title eliminator. At Friday’s weigh-ins, the main combatants made weight, giving the contest the official green light.

Williams (21-0-1, 13 KOs), a promising contender from nearby Philadelphia, has taken on a steadily-improving stream of solid opposition. That won’t change on Saturday because Matana (16-1, 5 KOs) is a tough Italian who will look to box his American counterpart.

Matano was the first to the scale and he looked as sharp as ever; he weighed in at 150.5 pounds. Williams looked like he was chiseled out of marble and came in officially at154 pounds.

The participants in the middleweight co-main event were equally on point as well. Antoine Douglas tipped the scale at 158.75 pounds while opponent Avtandil Khurtsidze was a bit heavier; he came in at 160.

Showtime will air the actions live starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
