Premier Boxing Champions has just announced a solid undercard to its Aug. 14 card on Spike TV, which is headlined by former undisputed light heavyweight world champion Antonio Tarver taking on Steve Cunningham. Filling the slots on the marquee will be a heavyweight contest between Polish contender Artur Szpilka and Cuban Yasmany Consuegra and a host of Polish contenders.

Maciej Sulecki and Kamil Laszczyk round out the lineup’s chief undercard, which will precede the Marco Huck (38-2-1, 26 KOs) versus Krzystof Glowacki (24-0, 15 KOs) co-feature. The event will take place inside the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and will air live on Spike TV starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Szpilka (19-1, 14 KOs) began his career on a torrid run and made waves when he decisioned Jameel McCline and stopped Owen “What the Heck” Beck. His dominance was halted when he was stopped by Bryant Jennings in the tenth round back in Jan. 2014, however. Since then, he’s gotten back on a tear, winning three straight including a huge win over former world champion Tomasz Adamek last November.

Consuegra, a former Cuban amateur standout, is coming off the first loss of his professional career. He was knocked out in the third by Dominic Breazeale in June and is looking to get things back on a positive note against the brash Pole.

Sulecki will fight in the U.S. for the second time in a 10-round middleweight bout. The 26-year-old has impressive wins over the previously unbeaten Robert Swierzbinski, Lukasz Wawrzyczek and, most notably, Grzegorz Proksa.

Laszczyk was a six-time national amateur champion in Poland while accumulating a 110-7 record. Facing him in an eight-round bout will be the unbeaten Dominican Queens-resident Oscauris Frias (16-0, 6 KOs).
