‘Krazy Horse’ Hits KOTC Cage Aug. 13

Brian KnappAug 06, 2009

EliteXC and Pride Fighting Championships veteran Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett will square off with Eric Moon at King of the Cage “Superstars” on Aug. 13 at the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highlands, Calif.

The 29-year-old Bennett (21-15-2), one of the sport’s most polarizing figures, has an extensive criminal rap sheet. He last fought in June when he dropped a split decision to Anthony McDavitt at King of the Cage “Legends.” Blessed with explosive, natural striking power, Bennett holds notable knockout victories against one-time EliteXC lightweight champion Karl James Noons and former featherweight King of Pancrase Yoshiro Maeda.

The event will feature a pair of title fights, as KOTC light heavyweight champion Tony Lopez puts his 12-fight winning streak on the line against Dave Cryer. Meanwhile, EliteXC veteran Victor Valenzuela will lock horns with Tony Hervey for the vacant KOTC lightweight crown. Hervey knocked out UFC castoff Alberto Crane in June.
