Jeremy Botter Joins Press Row

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by Bleacher Report writer Jeremy Botter.

A week removed from the news of both Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz's failed UFC 183 pre-fight drug tests, Breen and Botter discuss the current realities of drug testing in MMA, specifically before a fight. The two debate what the purpose of pre-fight testing is, the cruciality of obtaining results and acting on results before a bout happens and why that has yet to happen so far.

Breen and Botter also look at whether or not a positive steroid test will taint Silva's career the way many have opined, what makes former UFC title challenger Jon Fitch's positive test for elevated testosterone unique and which fighters, if any, would actually be a surprise to test positive for performing enhancing drugs.
