Grappling: Metamoris 7 Card Finalized

Mike SloanApr 05, 2016

Grappling organization Metamoris returns on Sunday, July 17, with another event loaded with some of the best jiu-jitsu players in the world. Metamoris 7 will go down in Los Angeles at Ray Dolby Ballroom at the Loews Hotel, with the prelims starting at 3 p.m. PT.

The main event will see Marcus Almeida taking on Roger Gracie in a highly-anticipated rematch of their encounter from Metamoris 1 in 2012. Most felt that “Buchecha” had the upper hand by the time the clock ran out, the fight was declared a draw. Finally, the two BJJ legends will get a chance to settle the score.

Also slated for the event will be UFC veteran Gabriel Gonzaga taking on Japanese star Satoshi Ishii. Dillon Dannis will grapple with Gilbert “Durinho” Burns, and Matheus Diniz is slated to lock horns with Yuri Simoes. Rounding out the marquee will be Ralek Gracie against Tim Spriggs.

As usual, Metamoris has a secret match in store, though virtually nobody knows who will be the combatants. The promotion has a full preliminary card prepared as well; the participants in the prelims will be announced soon.
