One day after Dern’s first-round submission of Nunes at UFC on ABC 2, Combate shared a video of Amanda Nunes, Nina Nunes’ wife, taking her 7-month old daughter Reagan on a short walk with Dern’s nearly 2-year-old daughter, Moa. Dern and her husband, surfer Wesley Santos, enjoyed the scene from a nearby table.
Dern vs. Nunes was the second time in UFC history where two mothers locked horns in the Octagon. Nina Nunes fought seven months after giving birth, while Dern first competed five months after becoming a mom.
