Premier Boxing Champions has announced another stellar matchup to continue its surge through the boxing world as an elite promotion.

After just having announced an afternoon card headlined by Robert Guerrero at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., on June 6, PBC scheduled a Las Vegas showdown between Adrien Broner and Shawn Porter.

The Broner-Porter matchup will be held inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday, June 20, and will be televised by NBC. The bout will be fought at a catchweight of either 144 or 145 pounds; Broner currently fights at the junior welterweight limit of 140 while Porter fights seven pounds north in the welterweight division.

Broner helped Al Haymon’s PBC launch on March 7 on NBC when he toppled John Molina Jr. via unanimous decision. Broner (30-1, 22 KOs), a former world champion at lightweight and welterweight, has won three consecutive bouts since losing to Marcos Maidana and is one of boxing’s most polarizing figures. Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs), is a former world champion at welterweight and recently bounced back from his first career defeat, which came at the hands of England’s Kell Brook.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that PBC will televise a fight card the following day, also at the MGM, featuring junior welterweight Antonio DeMarco (31-4-1, 23 KOs) squaring off against Rances Barthelemy (22-0, 13 KOs). It will be televised in on CBS.
