One Championship Heavyweight King Arjan Singh Bhullar Wants Jack Hager, Bobby Lashley

“Singh” is dead serious about transitioning to professional wrestling.

Arjan Singh Bhullar (11-1, 2-0 One) made history at One: Dangal, where he ran through former One Championship heavyweight titleholder Brandon Vera. The 35-year old Canadian fighter showcased polished boxing skills that stunned “The Truth” before he finished the job by taking his opponent down and mauling him. Bhullar, a former Olympic wrestler, proved that his striking could be as lethal as his ground game.

“I want to be a mixed martial artist,” Bhullar said while talking with Sherdog. “I want to be the best version of everything. First when I came on the scene, it was like, ‘OK, great wrestling.’ Then it was, ‘Hey, he’s got some boxing.’ Now, I think I’ve shown I’ve got everything. I can mix it very well, and that’s what a world champion can do, and that’s what I am.”

In the post-fight interview, he asked for a shot in professional wrestling. He aims to test himself against a couple of guys who tried both pro wrestling and mixed martial arts, Jack Hager and Bobby Lashley.

“We planned for Vera, we made it happen, and we planned for this, and I’m gonna make it happen,” he said. “I’m picking a fight with two people: one is Jake Hager in All Elite Wrestling, that’s live on TNT with One. He’s supposed to be the tough guy. He fights for Bellator, he’s an All-American wrestler. I’m an Olympic wrestler, I’m an MMA champion, so I’m picking a fight with him, and I’m picking a fight with Bobby Lashley. He’s an NAIA wrestler, Bellator fighter, same thing. I’m putting my resume up against his, and I’m the tougher guy out of both those guys.”

One Championship “Full Blast” airs Friday in more than 150 countries on televisions, tablets, computers and mobile devices at 8:30 a.m. ET.
