Kim Couture Featured Fighter at Upcoming XFC Event

(PRESS RELEASE) -- June 28, 2010 – Mixed martial arts premier female fighter Kim “Sugar Free” Couture will be featured in the Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) co-main bout in Tampa, Fla. on Friday July 9, 2010. HDNet will broadcast the event live.

Couture weighs in at 135 lbs. and holds a 2-2-0 (w-l-d) record. Her opponent is Marianna Kheyfets, a kick boxer and jiu-jitsu specialist making her professional MMA debut.

Couture’s won her most recent fight in March 2010 against Rosa Vizcarra. Couture, who has been training at the TapouT Training Center and Wanderlei Silva’s gym in Las Vegas, Nev., expressed excitement for the upcoming event.

“I have been really focused on both my training and the Vixen Crew. It’s a great time for me in life and for women’s MMA.”

Vixen Crew is Couture’s female MMA team.

Couture is a seasoned athlete born in Colorado. She began training in Jiu-Jitsu over six years ago and has been fighting for three. She continues to make her mark in women’s MMA, both in and out of the cage.
