The Walkmen: UFC Fight Night ‘Swanson vs. Lobov’

The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday returned to Nashville, Tennessee, for the first time since 2015, so it seems only fitting that a number of the UFC Fight Night 108 competitors walked to the Octagon to some classic tunes in the Music City.

The main event saw longtime featherweight contender and fan favorite Cub Swanson arrive to The Beatles’ “Come Together” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” ahead of his showdown with Artem Lobov. The SBG Ireland standout countered Swanson’s tastes with Akon’s “Ghetto” in advance of his first turn in a UFC headliner. Meanwhile, Al Iaquinta turned to Ja Rule’s “New York” before he squared off with Diego Sanchez in the three-round co-main event at 155 pounds. Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” brought Sanchez to the cage. Two other Cash songs were part of the festivities: “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” (Dustin Ortiz) and “Cocaine Blues” (Jessica Penne).

Other standout tracks included Motley Crue’s “Kickstart My Heart” (Eddie Wineland), Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” (Thales Leites), A Perfect Circle’s “Counting Bodies like Sheep to the Rhythm of War Drums” (Alexis Davis), Rick Ross’ “Push It” (Ovince St. Preux), Move’s “Thousand Foot Crutch” (Joe Lauzon), Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares” (Mike Perry), Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” (Michael McBride), Eric Church’s “The Outsiders” (Bryan Barberena) and The Band of Heathens’ “Hurricane” (Matt Schnell).

A rundown of the remaining tracks:

Steven Ray: Uncredited | “Scotland the Brave”
Jake Ellenberger: Jorge Quintero | “300 Violin Orchestra”
